  • We start this week in Italy, where Shen Yun World Company kicked off the 2017 Europe tour with a sold-out three-performance run in Milan.
  • Dancer Michelle Wu warms up at Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan. What you can’t tell from the photo is how slanted the stage is, sloping down toward the audience. In Europe, downstage is often literally down. (Photo by dancer Stephanie Guo)

  • The company will continue traveling the U.S. Southwest, including an eight-city tour of Southern California. (Photo by Nick Zhao)
  • Across the country, in Massachusetts, dancer Alan Lee practices his layout-stepout. This is the lobby of the beautiful Hanover Theatre in Worcester, locally known as Woosta. (Photo by dancer Daren Chou)
